When users connect their Oura Ring to the Oura app and enable Apple Health integration, a variety of health and activity data points are synced to Apple Health. This allows apps like Titan to access this data through HealthKit, providing insights into users' health and fitness. Note that Oura's Apple Health integration is supported for Oura Ring Gen2, Gen3, and Oura Ring 4 (with an active membership) and is available only on iOS devices.
The following data points are synced from Oura to Apple Health and can be accessed by Titan when the integration is enabled:
HRV and Resting Heart Rate Not Exported
Oura does not export Heart Rate Variability (HRV) or resting heart rate (RHR) data to Apple HealthKit. As a result, these metrics are not available to Titan or other apps via Apple Health, even if they are visible in the Oura app.
Steps and Activity Rings
Steps tracked by Oura do not contribute to the Stand Ring in Apple Health due to an Apple limitation. However, they do contribute to the Move Ring via active energy.
Workouts and Activity Rings
Exported workouts impact both the Move Ring (via active calories) and the Exercise Ring (via total duration) in Apple Health.
Data Display Variations
Sleep stages and heart rate graphs may differ between the Oura app and Apple Health due to Apple's data processing, such as rounding or varying time intervals.
For Titan to access Oura data via HealthKit:
Data Accuracy
While Oura's data in Apple Health is generally accurate, slight discrepancies may arise due to differences in processing or display between Oura and Apple Health.
Multiple Devices
If users wear multiple fitness trackers, step counts might overlap. Users can prioritize Oura for steps in Apple Health (Health app > Browse > Activity > Steps > Data Sources & Access > Edit) to avoid double-counting.
Syncing Issues
For the latest on potential syncing problems, users should refer to Oura's Known Issues page.
