Every Titan notification is off until you turn it on, and Titan checks its alerts only when Today refreshes. Work through the checks below in order.
01Turn on Allow Notifications and the iOS permission
Tap your avatar on Today, then go to You > Settings > Notifications. The bell icon at the top of You opens the same screen. Allow Notifications must be on in Titan, and iOS Settings must allow notifications for Titan. If either is off, Titan clears its notifications and schedules nothing.
When you turn Allow Notifications on, Titan asks iOS for permission. If you denied it earlier, the toggle stays off and Titan shows an Open Settings button. Allow Titan there, then turn the toggle on. If you later revoke permission in iOS, Titan switches Allow Notifications off the next time you open this screen.
02Turn on each alert you want
Each alert has its own toggle on the same screen, and each one starts off.
- Stress Alert fires when Stress reaches your Stress Alert Level, 75 by default. It skips the 30 minutes after a workout ends and fires at most once an hour.
- Target Bedtime Reminder fires at 9:30 PM every day.
- Health Alerts fires when today's HRV or resting heart rate falls outside the 20th to 80th percentile of the prior 30 days. It needs 5 days of history and fires at most once a day.
- Daily Report fires at 7:00 AM. Titan schedules it only when today's sleep hours are above 0, so a night with no sleep data removes it.
- Target Exertion Reached fires at an Exertion of 7.0, once a day. Rest Mode turns it off.
- Daily Tagging Reminder fires at 9:00 AM.
03Run the Background Refresh Status checks
Go to You > Help & Feedback > Background Refresh Status. The screen shows Background App Refresh, Low Power Mode, Notification Authorization. Tap Refresh Status after each change, then follow the four steps below.
- Turn on Settings > General > Background App Refresh for Titan.
- Turn off Low Power Mode when you expect frequent refreshes.
- Confirm notification permission, and check that Focus and Scheduled Summary are not holding Titan alerts.
- Pull down on Today to sync, and wait for the Sync Complete banner.
04Why an alert arrives late
Titan evaluates Stress, Health and Target Exertion alerts after Today finishes a refresh, and only while Today shows the current date. A qualifying alert fires about 5 seconds later. If Stress crosses 75 at 2 PM, stays there, and you open Titan at 5 PM, the alert arrives at 5 PM.
Opening Titan refreshes Today when you have been away 5 minutes or more, or when its data is 15 minutes old. Pulling down on Today refreshes it at any time. The three daily reminders repeat at fixed times once scheduled, so they arrive with Titan closed. Titan updates their schedule only on a refresh.
