Titan Age needs your date of birth and a completed Monday to Sunday week. If the card on Today stays blank or stuck, work through these four checks in order. For how the estimate is built, see Titan Age.
01Check your date of birth in Health
Titan cannot compute Titan Age without your date of birth from Apple Health. The card then shows a grey placeholder bar.
To add it, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Health Details, and fill in Date of Birth. Titan also needs permission to read it. In the Health app, tap your profile picture, then under Privacy tap Apps, then Titan, and turn on Date of Birth.
Titan picks up a newly added date the next time it reads Health. A corrected date is slower. Titan keeps the date it last read for up to seven days, so a fix can take that long to reach Titan Age.
02Wait for the week to close
Titan Age covers the last completed week, Monday through Sunday. The date range at the top right of the card names that week. The number changes only after Sunday ends.
Titan computes the new week when you open the app on Monday or later. The loading pill reads Refreshing Titan Age while it works. Titan also asks iOS for a background refresh at least 24 hours out. iOS decides when that runs and skips it when Background App Refresh is off. If the card still names a week that ended more than seven days ago, open Titan and let the refresh finish.
03Expect a quiet number in your first weeks
Titan Age appears as soon as a date of birth is available. Each signal needs a minimum number of days in the week, such as 4 nights of sleep or 4 days of resting heart rate. A signal short of its minimum counts as missing.
Missing signals have two effects. The coverage factor falls, which shrinks the effect of every signal you did record. Titan also fills each missing signal with the median of your recorded weeks from the past 26, once you have 6 recorded weeks of that signal. Before that it uses the reference value, which adds zero years. A week with nothing recorded pulls Titan Age toward your actual age.
To see what counted, tap the Titan Age card and open Calculation details, which lists each signal's days of coverage.
04Expect this week's changes to wait
Current-week workouts, steps, and sleep do not move Titan Age until the week closes. Titan recalculates the displayed week early only when a Titan Age input changes on a day inside that completed week. A watch that syncs Sunday's workout late on Monday is the usual case. If an older score moved without new activity, see scores changed.
If the card is still blank after your date of birth is set and a full week has closed, reach out through the contact page.
