Widgets and Lock Screen

Add Titan's Recovery, Exertion, and Battery widgets to your iPhone Home Screen or Lock Screen, and learn when their numbers update.

Published September 24, 2026

Titan has three iPhone widgets, one each for Recovery, Exertion, and Battery, and each works on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. This article covers the sizes, how to add them, when the numbers change, and what a tap opens. The Apple Watch app is a separate product, covered in Watch companion.

01The three widgets

Each widget shows one score. Recovery and Battery show a percentage from 0 to 100. Exertion shows a score out of 10, such as 6/10.

Every widget comes in five sizes.

SizeWhere it goesWhat it shows
SmallHome ScreenMetric name, a ring gauge with the value, and the time of the last update
MediumHome ScreenMetric name, the value, a second score, and a ring gauge
InlineLock Screen, above the clockThe metric name and value on one line of text
CircularLock Screen, below the clockA ring gauge with the number and the metric's icon
RectangularLock Screen, below the clockThe metric name, the value, and a bar gauge

When Titan has no saved value for a metric, the widget shows two dashes in place of the number.

02The medium widget's second score

The medium size adds a smaller second score under the main value. The Recovery widget shows your Sleep score. The Exertion widget shows your Recovery score. The Battery widget shows your Exertion score.

03Add a widget to the Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
  2. Tap Edit in the top-left corner, then tap Add Widget.
  3. Search for Titan and tap it.
  4. Swipe to choose Recovery, Exertion, or Battery in the small or medium size.
  5. Tap Add Widget, then tap Done.

04Add a widget to the Lock Screen

  1. Unlock your iPhone, then touch and hold the Lock Screen.
  2. Tap Customize, then choose Lock Screen.
  3. Tap the widget row below the clock for a circular or rectangular widget, or tap the date above the clock for the inline widget.
  4. Choose Titan, then choose the metric.
  5. Tap Done.

05When the numbers update

The widgets never read Apple Health on their own. They show the last scores the Titan iPhone app saved. Titan saves fresh scores each time it refreshes Today, and it tells iOS to redraw every Titan widget right after that save.

Each widget also asks iOS to reload every 30 minutes. That reload redraws the same saved scores and calculates nothing new. iOS can delay it to save power. If Titan has not refreshed Today in a while, the widgets keep showing the older numbers. Open Titan to bring them up to date. The small widget prints the time of the saved scores, so you can check how old they are.

06Rounding

Exertion is a decimal score in the app. The widget rounds it to the nearest whole number, so 5.2 appears as 5/10 and 5.6 appears as 6/10. Recovery, Battery, and Sleep are already whole numbers, so the widget matches what you see on Today.

07Tap to open the metric

Tapping a widget opens Titan on that metric's detail screen. Titan closes any screens you had open first, so the detail screen sits directly on top of Today. Read Recovery score and Exertion score for what those numbers mean, and Today screen for the rest of the layout.
