The Workouts screen

What each section of the Workouts screen shows, how Titan scores the effort of each workout, and the settings that change suggestions, labels, and charts.

Published September 24, 2026

The Workouts screen collects every workout in Apple Health and sorts it by week, month, and year. This article walks through each section, explains how Titan scores a single workout, and covers the settings for suggestions, the Other workout label, and chart styles.

01Sections from top to bottom

Tap the Workouts card on Today to open the screen. The card shows how many workouts you logged this week.

This week

The top row shows Sessions, Duration, and Distance for the current week. Tap any of the three to split it by activity type. The Weekly activity chart plots active minutes for each day so far.

Calendar and session lists

The calendar shows one month. Use the arrows to change months, and tap a day to list its sessions with a count and total time. Recent sessions lists your five latest workouts. All sessions groups every workout by month, filtered by the Workout Type and Year menus. The Year you pick also sets the yearly summary.

Workout Suggestions

The card shows three ideas for your training goal, with See All and Edit Types buttons.

Progress and effort breakdowns

Active days counts the days with a workout in the calendar month. Week streak counts consecutive weeks, starting Monday, with at least one workout, going back from this week up to 52. Top Efforts ranks your six hardest workouts for This Week or This Month. A This Week and This Month picker drives four cards, Number of Workouts, Active Time, Distance, and Energy Burned. Each compares against the previous period and breaks down by activity. A recap card covers the month before the calendar month, with Most Frequent, Most Time Spent, and Top Calorie Burn.

Yearly summary

Overview shows workouts, active time, distance, and energy. Activities shows your most frequent activity and the one you spent the most time on. Consistency shows workouts per week, active hours per week, and average energy per workout. The Fitness & Templates link below it opens your structured workouts.

Workout detail

Tap any workout for duration, energy, distance, an Effort card with Exertion and Load, average and max heart rate, time in each zone, pace or speed, laps, elevation, and the source device.

02How Titan scores one workout

Titan multiplies each minute of heart rate zone time in the workout by its zone number, 1 for Zone 1 through 5 for Zone 5. The sum is the Load. Exertion equals 10 multiplied by one minus e raised to negative Load divided by 100. Any Load above zero scores at least 1.0. Top Efforts ranks by this stored score. A workout Titan has not scored yet ranks by energy burned.

A workout with no heart rate samples gets a Load equal to its minutes multiplied by an activity multiplier.

Activity categoryLoad per minute
Endurance1.0
Mixed0.95
Strength0.9
Mobility0.65
Other with distance0.95
Other without distance0.8
Other renamed to sauna or steam0.5

A 60 minute strength session with no heart rate gets a Load of 54. If you open a workout before Titan stores its score, the detail screen estimates one from zone time, or from 1.5 Load per minute without heart rate. Daily totals are covered in Exertion score.

03Hiding suggestions and excluding types

Titan orders nine suggestions by your training goal. Peak Training leads with Tempo Run, HIIT Session, and Endurance Ride. Tapering and Injured or Resting lead with Recovery Walk, Mobility Yoga, and Technique Swim.

To hide them, turn on the switch next to the Workout Suggestions heading, or Hide Workout Suggestions in Settings > App Preferences > Appearance. Settings is reached from the avatar on Today, then You > Settings.

To drop an activity type, tap Edit Types on the card, or go to Settings > Training & Heart Rate > Workout Suggestions. Swipe left on a type to delete it. Tap Edit, then Reset, to restore every type.

04Rename Other Workout

Apple Health files sauna and similar sessions under the Other workout type. Settings > Training & Heart Rate > Rename Other Workout gives that type your own label across Titan, up to 28 characters. A blank label reverts to Other.

A label containing "sauna" or "steam", in any case, switches the icon to a thermometer. It also lowers the multiplier for Other workouts without heart rate or distance from 0.8 to 0.5. Scores Titan already stored keep their old value.

05Chart styles

Settings > App Preferences > Appearance sets four chart styles.

  • Workout Speed Chart, on workout detail. Bar or Line. Default Line.
