Titan gives you two ways to follow your progress. The Daily Report is a morning notification that reminds you to check your scores. Trends is the screen where you see how those scores move over 30 days to a full year.
01Where your daily read comes from
Your daily read is the set of scores and cards on Today. The Today screen guide walks through each card and what opens when you tap it.
The Daily Report prompts you to open those scores each morning. Trends puts today's numbers next to the weeks and months before them.
02The Daily Report notification
The Daily Report arrives at 07:00 local time every day. Its title is "Daily Report Ready" and its text reads "Open Titan to review recovery, sleep, exertion, and trends." The notification carries no scores. You open Titan to see them.
Titan only schedules the Daily Report once it has sleep for the day. Each time Today finishes loading data for the current day, Titan updates your notification schedule. If that load finds sleep for the night, the 07:00 report stays scheduled. If it finds no sleep, Titan removes the pending report. The report comes back the next time Today loads with a recorded night of sleep.
This means a night without your watch or ring can cancel the next morning's report. Wear your device to bed and open Titan once after sleep syncs to keep it running. If sleep is missing, see sleep missing.
Turn on the Daily Report
During onboarding, the "Get a morning report?" screen asks for notification permission. If you allow it, Titan turns on Allow Notifications and the Daily Report together.
To turn it on later, follow these steps.
- On Today, tap your avatar to open You.
- Tap the bell in the top right corner to open Notifications.
- Turn on Allow Notifications. If iOS has not asked before, Titan requests permission now.
- Under Other Notifications, turn on Daily Report.
The toggles under Other Notifications stay dimmed until Allow Notifications is on.
If you denied notification permission earlier, Titan shows an alert when you try to turn on Allow Notifications. Open iOS Settings, find Titan, and allow notifications. Then return to Titan and turn the switch on.
Turning Daily Report off cancels the pending notification right away. Turning Allow Notifications off removes every scheduled Titan notification. If you revoke permission in iOS Settings, Titan turns Allow Notifications off the next time you open the Notifications screen. The notifications guide covers the other alerts on that screen. If the report stops arriving, see notifications not arriving.
03Review progress in Trends
Open Trends from the Trends tile on Today. The tile shows your current training load ratio and a sparkline of training load for the last 7 days. An arrow compares the ratio with your previous day of data. It points up or down when the ratio moved by more than 0.01 and stays flat otherwise.
Trends is one scrolling screen. The period menu at the top sets the range for every chart, with 30 Days, 60 Days, 6 Months and Year to choose from. Trends opens on Year. The screen charts training load, training load focus, cardio distribution for Zones 2 to 5, Recovery vs exertion, training balance, cardio fitness as VO₂ max, heart-rate recovery, HRV variation, workout distance and, when you log it in Health, mood. Cardio fitness, heart-rate recovery and distance each have a menu to filter by activity type.
Reading the training load chart
The training load chart plots long-term load and short-term load. The line under the chart gives the load ratio, short-term load divided by long-term load, with a label for its band. A ratio above 1 means your recent training is heavier than your usual base.
The shaded Typical band shows the middle 50% of your long-term load values across the selected period. Titan draws it only when the period has long-term load on at least 28 days and on 80% of its days. The band describes your own history. It is not a target.
Reading Recovery and Exertion side by side
Recovery runs from 0 to 100, and a higher score means more readiness. Exertion runs from 0 to 10, and a higher score means more accumulated effort. Recovery vs exertion draws both on one shared scale, so you can see whether hard days follow low Recovery. The training balance chart below it shows the rolling gap between the two. See training balance for how that gap is calculated.
When a chart is empty
Some charts depend on history that Titan fills in from Apple Health after setup, so they complete over the first minutes. Training load focus reads "No zone minutes in this period" when the period has no heart rate zone time, and the training load chart reads "Range needs 28 days of training load" until the Typical band has enough history. Pull down on Trends to refresh. The Trends guide explains each chart in more detail, and progress tracking covers longer-term review.
